Red bubbles. Served cold. Made to share.
Rosso Mosso is more than a wine. It is a movement.
This sense of movement reveals itself in the glass through fine bubbles and vibrant energy, in its style as a fresh interpretation of red wine, and in its origins: organically farmed vineyards whose development Alois Lageder has been fostering together with its vintner partners for over twenty years.
Rosso Mosso moves between tension and lightness, between energy and structure. Fine bubbles, juicy notes and delicate tannins come together to create a wine that is vibrant and full of character. Different vintages and grape varieties meet and are reinterpreted together. At times Mediterranean and spicy, at times fresh and lively, light yet with depth. The result is a sparkling red wine that refuses to stand still. A wine that moves in many directions while finding balance within contrasts. Served chilled, it accompanies convivial moments and good conversations.
Rosso Mosso was born from encounters, conversations and the desire to explore new paths. Impressions gathered through travel, the dialogue with vintner partners and a curiosity for new expressions of wine shaped the project’s first ideas. As with Misto Mare, Rosso Mosso also grows out of an open approach, free from traditional categories. The idea was to create a wine that feels approachable yet full of personality. A wine capable of combining lightness with attitude and looking at red wine from a different perspective.
At the same time, Rosso Mosso remains deeply connected to its origins. Made from red grapes grown in organically farmed vineyards, it is part of a long-term commitment to an agriculture rooted in vitality, biodiversity and the future.
How can red wine be rethought? Approachable and yet full of character, fresh and yet with substance? As a sparkling red wine, Rosso Mosso combines the structure and character of red grape varieties with freshness, drinkability and a clear sense of origin. Versatile and unmistakable at once.
Rosso Mosso also reflects a forward-looking approach: the conscious decision to work with vineyards particularly suited to red grape varieties and a way of thinking about wine that remains open to change and evolution.
Rosso Mosso is made from red grapes grown by vintner partners who farm their vineyards organically. The wine is part of a long-term path that Alois Lageder has pursued together with its partners for more than twenty years, towards an agriculture centered around healthy soils, biodiversity and a forward-looking perspective. Collaboration with vintner partners lies at the heart of the project. Together, they are cultivating not only a wine, but also a network of people actively shaping and evolving organic and biodynamic viticulture.
The Rosso Mosso label was created by Finnish artist Klaus Haapaniemi. As with Misto Mare, his visual language draws inspiration from the geological origins of South Tyrol, a region that was covered by the sea around 200 million years ago. At the centre of the label floats a jellyfish, a symbol of rhythm, tension and movement. Crickets, mushrooms, pinecones, planets and seashells intertwine into an ornamental visual language inspired by Northern European Art Nouveau. The living world and the cosmic unknown merge into one unified vision, connected through the same pulse of life.
Our aim is to simplify the concept of biodynamics and share our personal approach to it.
The grapes for our wines come from our own vineyards and from those of our approximately 60 vintner partners throughout Alto Adige.
