No other wine has defined the history of our family winery as much as the LÖWENGANG Chardonnay. In the 1980s, it was the first white wine from Alto Adige to successfully position itself on the international markets. While it embodies decades of expertise and tradition, we are nevertheless always refining and enhancing its qualities.

Today, parts of the vineyards are around 145 years old; they are among the oldest vineyards in Alto Adige. Count Melchiori, the owner at the time, planted the plots in Magrè with Carménère, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon around 1875.
